"Why should I go to a coach now?" - if you've asked yourself the same question, this article is for you

09/04/2025

There comes a point in your life - maybe over thirty, maybe in your early forties - when you're not just drifting, but you stop for a moment and ask yourself, "Where do we go from here?" Your career may be on track, but something is missing. Or maybe a new phase in your personal life has come along and redefined your priorities. It is not a weakness, but a courageous decision to seek a coach.

You don't have to figure it all out on your own

Coaching is no longer the preserve of top executives, and thankfully it's not just about someone telling you what to do. Rather, it's about giving you a safe, non-judgmental space where you can say what's on your mind and a guide to help you figure out how to do it yourself. The answers, surprisingly, are within you. And the coach helps you find them.

What are the topics that most people contact you about?

The following questions are common at this age:

- "What if I changed careers?"

- "How do I balance my work and personal life?"

- "Why can't I say no?"

- "What motivates me now?"

- "How can I be more effective as a leader?"

And often it's not even a specific question, just a feeling: something is not right. That's what we unpack, patiently, step by step.

What is happening in the world of coaching now?

In this country, too, we are seeing more and more people seeking coaching - no longer a luxury or a luxury, but an increasingly natural tool for self-development. In addition to companies, more and more private individuals are using it. Specialisations have emerged: some coaches help with leadership issues, others with burnout prevention or even self-confidence building.

Internationally, flexibility and agility have come to the fore. Many work online, in hybrid ways, some take meetings out into nature. The aim is to put coaching where the client is - in time, space and pace.

And what will the future hold? Will artificial intelligence take the job?

There are more and more AI-based tools: there are apps, chatbots to help structure thinking or set a goal. But real coaching is not programmable. It's real attention, empathy, presence - for the time being (and perhaps fortunately) no algorithm can replace that.

To summarise

Going to a coach is not a last resort, it's a decision to do things differently from now on. More consciously. More effectively. More human - even to yourself.

If you feel you've reached a turning point in your life, or simply want to see more clearly, you may want to try coaching. A good conversation can often move you forward more than weeks of thinking alone.
